HomeSearch Direct was initially a subsidiary of GLP Financial Management which was established in the UK in 1989.

Through this experience the partners identified a number of fundamental problems in the sale and purchase of residential properties that, in their opinion, presented the basis of a unique business opportunity.

The partners' objective was to develop a business format that overcame these problems for both buyers and sellers. That business is HomeSearch Direct. HomeSearch Direct was established in 1995 in Carlisle, which has a population of around 70,000. There were sixteen agents operating in that area at the time.

HomeSearch Direct began offering a service specifically designed for homebuyers, providing impartial advice on how and where to find their ideal home. Property reports provide details of homes on the market whether being sold via an estate agent, privately or being marketed through HomeSearch Direct. A full property search is only available via our office. This gives home buyers access to a large number of residential property details all under one roof.

The current sales service involves all the benefits of a busy, professional, competitive and centrally located property office.
